Description
Ivy Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century and has been altered. It is built of whitewashed uncoursed rubble with a slate roof and features a double-depth plan. The cottage has two storeys and two bays, which are almost symmetrical. The central doorway has a plain surround, with a low 8-pane window to the left that has a 17th-century moulded lintel, which may have been reused or relocated. To the right is a 16-pane sashed window, and above are two square 12-pane sashes (four panes in the upper leaf and eight in the lower). There is a chimney at the right-hand gable. The rear and interior of the cottage were not inspected. Ivy Cottage is included for its group value with Trevithick's Cottage located opposite.
