Description
Adjewhella is a small farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with some slight alterations. It is constructed of rubble and cob, painted white, and features a thatched roof with brick chimneys. The building has a two-unit plan and a later addition at the rear. It stands two storeys high and has two bays, with a symmetrical façade that includes a central doorway with a plain surround and a recessed glazed and panelled door. There are two small 4-pane sashed windows on each floor, all with exposed boxes, and the first-floor windows rise into the eyebrows of the thatch. To the left, there is a full-height screen wall that continues to the rear of an attached outbuilding, while a narrow lean-to is located at the right-hand end. The rear of the building features a continuous lean-to extension, which has a door and various casement windows, topped with a corrugated metal roof. Inside, the partition walls are made of cob, but no other historical fabric is visible. The property is complemented by a wide garden wall made of slobbered rubble with pitched coping, which is angled at the central gateway.
