Description
16 Maison Dieu is a cottage from the 18th century, possibly earlier. It is built of uncoursed rubble and has a roof made of pantiles and stone slates.
The cottage has two storeys and two bays. The front door is located on the far right (west) side, with a single ground floor window in the center of the elevation, both featuring monolithic lintels. The central window resembles a three or four-light mullioned window but is currently fitted with a two-over-two sash window, flanked by narrow one-over-one sidelights. To the left of this window, there is a small blocked fire window. On the first floor, there are two windows that are centrally positioned in their bays; these are two-over-two horned sashes. The roof has pantiles above two courses of stone slates at the eaves. A tall brick chimney stack is located on the left side, adjacent to the neighboring property.
