Description
No 13 Maison Dieu is a cottage dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed and uncoursed rubble and has a Welsh slate roof.
The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The left-hand (western) and central bays create a roughly quoined appearance, with the front door located to the right. There are eight-over-eight pane horned sash windows on both floors to the left. A plaque inscribed ‘I.R. 1797’ is centrally positioned above the western two bays. The eastern bay seems to be an early extension of the cottage, featuring a six-over-six horned sash window on the first floor and a shorter nine-pane window on the ground floor. All windows have plain stone lintels. The end stack on the west gable is primarily made of handmade brick and rises in two stages, while the stack on the east gable is shorter and rendered.
Nos 1 to 15 (odd) form a group.
