Description
12 Maison Dieu is a mid-19th century cottage constructed from roughly coursed rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features two unequal bays, with the bay on the right (west) being significantly wider.
The front door, which has four panels, is located to the right and includes a rectangular overlight. This door is situated next to a small square window with four panes, both of which have cambered stone arches. On the first floor above the window, there is a larger eight-over-eight sash window that is supported by a monolithic lintel. The wider western bay mirrors this design on both floors, featuring matching windows that consist of three lights separated by timber mullions. These windows have eight-over-eight hornless sashes, accompanied by narrow two-over-two sidelights. The west gable is topped with a brick ridge stack.
12 Maison Dieu is part of a group with Nos 12 to 16 (even).
