Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of Maison Dieu. The building is constructed of coursed, squared rubble with a stone slate roof.

The exterior is symmetrical, with three bays and two storeys. The central front door is four-panelled, set within an ashlar surround. The surround features plain pilasters supporting a large lintel pierced with an architraved semi-circular fanlight, which has radial glazing bars. Above the door, the first-floor window also has a semi-circular head with radial glazing bars, with a six-pane lower sash. The windows in the flanking bays are wider, eight-over-eight hornless sashes with projecting sills and flat arches formed with voussoirs. The end stacks are shared with the adjacent properties; the left (east) stack is of handmade brick, and the right stack is of yellow brick.

Numbers 28 and 30 Maison Dieu form a group.
