Description

This is a boundary stone located at SW 729 436, marking the division between the original Gwennap and Chacewater parishes. It dates from the early 19th century and is a roughly-hewn granite monolith inscribed with the number 29. This stone also defined the mineral rights of the local landowners. It is one of four similar stones listed, which are also recognized in the listings for the parishes of Chacewater, Gwennap, and Kenwyn, within the District of Carrick.
