Description
The lychgate at St Andrew's Church, built in 1922, serves as a war memorial. It features granite rubble side walls that support a hipped roof made of scantle slate. Inside, there are recesses in the walls, with the southwest side containing inscribed slate tablets. A central coffin-rest is flanked by small wooden gates, and the open roof structure includes an inscription on the tie-beam. This lychgate commemorates those who served in the First World War.
