Description

This is a parish boundary stone located at the junction of lanes in Carn Brea, off Helston Road. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and is made of roughly hewn granite. The stone has an irregular cubical shape and stands approximately a quarter metre high. It features a rough inscription of "PR" on the left (east) side, with a benchmark added on the front. This stone is believed to mark the junction of the boundaries of the former parishes of Gwennap, Illogan, and Wendron.
