Description
Pencoys Villa is a house built in the late 19th century. It features squared killas rubble brought to courses, with granite quoins and dressings, topped by a slurried slate roof. The building has a rectangular double-depth plan, is two storeys high, and consists of three symmetrical bays. The central doorway is protected by a five-sided wooden and glazed porch, which includes segmental-arched glazing with coloured margin panes on the door and windows, as well as a glazed roof with an apex finial. The villa has 12-pane unhorned sash windows with exposed boxes, a hipped roof with projecting eaves, and side-wall chimneys. There is a short single-storey wing added at the right-hand end. At the rear, there is a tall round-headed stair window with coloured margin panes. Inside, the villa features a doglegged staircase with an open string and stick balusters.
