Description

The lychgate at the Church of St George is a structure commemorating those who served in the First World War, with "In Memoriam 1914-1919" inscribed on the tie beam. It features a rock-faced stone plinth, timber studs, and a slate roof. The pitched roof is supported by billeted cambered tie-beam gable trusses that create pointed arcades. The studded side walls rest on stone dwarf walls. This lychgate is included for its group value with the church.
