Description
No. 17 Anthony Street is an early 19th-century house built of watershot stone with a 20th-century tile roof. It is a double-depth building of two bays, comprising three storeys, with a former workshop on the second floor. The west elevation features a doorway in the first bay with a skew stone lintel. The ground and first floors have windows with similar lintels and stone sills, while the workshop level has two three-light recessed mullion windows with flat-faced stonework. The east elevation is similar but has a square-cut door surround and a blocked taking-in door to the workshop level. It includes plain eaves gutter brackets and ridge chimney stacks. The building is listed for its group value.
