Description

SW 62 NE WENDRON

7/356 Barns at approximately 35 metres - west of Trelill Farmhouse

GV II

2 adjoining barns. Circa early-mid C19. Granite rubble with some granite dressings. Scantle slate roof over the left hand barn, replaced with asbestos slate over the right hand barn. Gable ends. Plan: 2 adjoining rectangular barns. The right-hand barn is shallower depth and is set back at the front. Probably granaries of fodder storage over shippons, cartshed and stables. Exterior: 2 storeys. Overall irregular north-east front. Both barns are symmetrical to first floor with central loading doorways and flanking windows (right- hand window opening blocked). Left-hand barn has wide doorway left of middle and windows in 2 former doorways at far left and towards right. Ground floor of other barn is mostly obscured by C20 lean-to. There is an original doorway on the right. Interior not inspected.
