Description

The kitchen garden walls located immediately east of Trenethick Barton Farmhouse are likely from the 16th century and later. They are constructed from Killas rubble with some granite dressings. The garden is rectangular in shape, featuring high walls on three sides and a lower wall that runs parallel to the house. The wall next to the rear right-hand wing of the house includes three doorways close to the house, one of which is original and features a chamfered granite doorway. The other two doorways are later additions and have reused chamfered granite lintels from the 16th or 17th century. The walls are topped with rubble copings, and the piggery has a grouted scantle slate roof.
