Description
The Kitchen Garden Walls, located east of Sharpham, date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. They are constructed of local stone rubble and topped with slate capping. The walls are tall and feature pilaster buttresses at intervals, enclosing a nearly square garden on a slope. The north side has a taller wall, against which there is a 20th-century conservatory inside and a 19th-century linhay with rectangular piers outside. The east side includes a wide opening at the center and an outbuilding in the southeast corner. This side also serves as the back wall of one of the stable ranges, which includes a stable and coach house.
