Description
The Sunday School, likely built in 1866, is constructed from slatestone and granite rubble with granite dressings. It features a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends that have raised coped verges. A cross finial adorns the right gable end, while the left gable end has a stack with an ashlar shaft. The building has a plan that includes an entrance through a porch at the right gable end, with one room on both the ground and first floors, heated by the stack on the left gable end.
The front façade showcases three 3-light windows with 2-centred arched lights and intersecting tracery, flanked by weathered buttresses on either side. The gable ends have a steep pitch; the right end features a porch with a shouldered arched doorway at the front, which has plank double doors. The upper level of the right gable end includes two 2-light windows with 2-centred arched casements that have Y tracery. There is a shield in the gable displaying the lettering "SUNDAY SCHOOL" along with a date that is not clearly legible, possibly 1866. The left end of the building is blind. The interior has not been inspected.
