Description
No. 69 on Fore Street is a house and shop built in the early to mid-19th century, with later alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed from stone rubble and brick, featuring a slate-hung and painted exterior, topped with a ripped slate roof that has ridge tiles.
The layout is a double depth plan, with a shop added at the ground floor in the late 19th century. The building has three storeys and a nearly symmetrical front. The ground floor showcases an early 20th-century shop front, which includes plate-glass windows on both sides of a central door, along with a plain fascia. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century four-pane sash windows. The second floor features a 20th-century window on the left and another four-pane sash window on the right. The left side of the building is rendered, and there is a 20th-century window on the first floor to the left. The first and second floors are slate-hung. The interior has not been inspected.
