Description

This is a well with a spout located in Madron, dating from the early 19th century. It features a front retaining wall made of granite ashlar, with a vertically-set rubble facing at the rear, which supports an earth bank. The well has dressed granite fittings. The design includes a central spout and sump at the back of a semi-circular terrace. Water flows into three sumps before being directed into a culvert.
