Description
St Wilfrid's Well, built in 1762 for W Richardson MD, is a well head with a trough and flanking gates. The structure is made of ashlar stone. It features a low stone wall with a central four-centred arch that contains an ashlar water spout, positioned above a projecting ashlar trough. The wall is topped with ashlar coping. On either side of the well, there are pairs of square gate piers that have chamfered sides and round-headed caps.
