Description

This is a headstone commemorating Mary Osburn, located 10 metres south of the south aisle of Egloshayle Church. It dates from 1791 and is made of slate. The headstone features a segmental arched top and is inscribed with both upper and lower case lettering that has serifs. At the bottom, there are three urns depicted in shallow relief. The inscription honors Mary, a faithful servant who died at the age of 25 in Pencarrow, stating that she was "esteemed by her master and mistress and beloved by all her fellow servants."
