Description

This is a headstone located approximately 10 metres south-west of the south aisle at the west end of the old Church of St Mary. It dates from 1799 and is made of slate. The headstone features a shaped, classical design with intricate decoration, including a relief of a winged head in a round panel. It commemorates Mary, the daughter of John and Ann Draper, who died in 1799 at the age of 12 years. The headstone is signed 'Wood, Bingham'.
