Pair of semi-detached villas, including basement forecourt walls and railings. Mid C19. Stucco with channelled rustication to ground floor and terminal quoin strips; Delabole slate hipped roofs with 2 roof dormers at the front; wide eaves; central axial stack; cast-iron ogee gutters. Double-depth pair with mirror-image plans. 2 storeys plus attics over basements; symmetrical 4-window first-floor range. Basement has panelled doors with overlights flanking canted bay windows with glazing-bar sashes; consoles to cornices beneath canted ground-floor bay windows with horned sashes and moulded cornices to openwork parapets. Keyed segmental arches over horned 4-pane sashes set in eared and lugged architraves. 2 gabled roof dormers. Small 2-storey wings set back on either side: each front has round-arched sash window with marginal panes above. INTERIORS not inspected but likely to be of interest. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: forecourt retaining walls are surmounted by iron railings with fleur-de-lis finials. Similar gates.
