Description
39 Carclew Street is a house in a terrace built in the 1830s. It features dressed coursed Killas stone and has an asbestos slate roof with brick end stacks. The property has cast-iron ogee gutters and a double-depth plan with a central stair hall. It is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window range. The central doorway is round-headed and keyed, with a 20th-century panelled door and a blind spoked fanlight above it. The ground floor has segmental brick arches over 20th-century sixteen-pane sash windows, while the first floor retains original hornless sash windows, although the intermediate glazing bars have been removed. The interior has not been inspected.
