Description

No. 43 is a small town house, dating from around 1810. It is one of a pair of mirror-image properties built on Lemon Street in Truro. The front is constructed of local freestone ashlar, with a slate roof. The house has a double-depth plan and a two-storey, two-window front. A round-arched doorway contains a six-panel door with a simple fanlight above. The original hornless sash windows have glazing bars and sit beneath shallow cambered arches. The eaves are modillioned. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of architectural interest. A low stuccoed plinth is topped with closely-spaced wrought-iron railings and urn finials over the stanchions.
