Description

No. 54 Lemon Street is a town house built around 1805 by the builder John Barker. It is constructed from dressed coursed local stone and features freestone arches. The roof is made of dry Delabole slate and includes two hipped dormers and brick end stacks. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical three-window front. The central doorway is round-arched and contains a six-panel door with a spoked fanlight above. The windows are original hornless sashes with glazing bars, set beneath shallow segmental arches that have projecting keyblocks. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
