Description

This is a small town house, dating to approximately 1809. It is constructed of local freestone ashlar to the front, with a slate roof and brick end stacks. The house has a double-depth plan, featuring one room at the front. It is two storeys high and has a two-window front elevation. The front features a plinth, a sill string to the first floor, and mutules under the eaves soffit. A round-arched doorway is positioned on the left-hand side, containing a six-panel door and a spoked fanlight. The ground floor windows have shallow segmental arches over wide openings, with late 19th/20th century tripartite horned sashes, glazing bars to the central light of the ground floor only. The front room contains a moulded and carved plaster ceiling cornice and band. The interior has not been thoroughly inspected. This building possesses group value.
