Description

No. 42 Lemon Street is a small town house dating from around 1810. It is one of a pair and is built with a front of local freestone ashlar, an asbestos slate roof, and brick end stacks on the left. The house has a double-depth plan and a two-storey, two-window-range facade. A round-arched doorway on the right has a six-panel door and a spoked fanlight above. There are 20th-century horned sash windows with glazing bars, set under shallow cambered arches. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of architectural interest.
