Description
No. 45 Lemon Street is a town house built around 1810. It is constructed from dressed coursed local stone, featuring a granite plinth and voussoirs, with slate sills. The roof is made of dry Delabole slate and has brick end stacks on the right. The house has a double-depth plan with a central entrance hall and two front reception rooms. It is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front. The central round-arched doorway contains a six-panel door set within a wooden doorcase with pilasters, topped by a spoked fanlight. The windows are 20th-century horned sashes with glazing bars, positioned under shallow cambered arches with projecting key blocks. Inside, the left-hand room has panelled shutters, and the front rooms feature moulded and carved plaster ceiling cornices, though the rest of the interior has not been inspected.
