7/216 Lower Lodge with attached railings

Lodge and railings. Circa 1800. Part rendered and lined out with some stone dressings, part red sandstone rubble. Slate roofs. Single cell front section with sandstone wing to right and behind. All this single storey. Two storey service wing at rear but much modernized. Front piece is canted with pointed headed windows flanking door. Keystone heads. Modern door and sashes with glazing bars. Stone plinth and string, embattled parapet, hipped roof. Wing to right has a 3 light casement window with 2 centred head. Crested ridge tiles and ridge stacks. The gabled end of this wing has a 2 light casement with lancet above. Rear wing has a 2 light casement on both floors, a C20 door, a 12 pane sash and another paired sash at end, all modern features. Interior much modernised. Attached to left of front are 4 panels of contemporary iron railings and gate in lattice pattern.
