Description
Cremyll Antiques is a shop with living accommodation, dating from the early 19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of granite and slatestone rubble, with brick dressings and part rendered, topped by a slate roof. Originally, it had a two-room plan heated by a gable end stack on the left. It was extended at the front left, likely in the early 19th century, with a later 19th-century 1½ storey lean-to added to the left side.
The building stands two storeys tall and features a canted bay on the right that extends through both storeys. This bay has a 16-pane light with toplights on each side at the ground floor, and two-light casements with toplights at the first floor. The area between the floors is rendered, and the bay has a hipped roof. All windows have been replaced in the 20th century. The shop on the left has a four-light 20th-century bow window, with a 12-pane light above that has a brick segmental head. The left side of the building has a 20th-century door and a rendered gable end with an external stack, along with a 20th-century sash window at the first floor to the right. The right side features a lean-to with a four-pane round-headed window and a six-pane casement at the front. The rear has an asbestos slate roof and a single-storey lean-to with a 20th-century window at the first floor right, all rendered. The interior has not been inspected.
