Description

This building, located to the west of the Racehorse Inn, is a house and garden wall that likely dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with dressed quoins and features a slate roof with gable ends, as well as stone rubble end stacks.

The house has a double depth plan with a central entrance, with the main rooms located at the front, heated by end stacks, and narrower service rooms at the rear. The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front. The ground and first floor openings are topped with dressed stone arches, and the original casements are fitted with crown glass. The central entrance features a late 18th century or early 19th century panelled door, which is sheltered by a slate hipped hood. On either side of the door are two 2-light casements, with three similar casements on the first floor.

In front of the house, there is a 19th century garden wall made of stone rubble. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
