Description
J and B Hauser is a house that has been converted into a shop. It features an 18th-century remodelling of an earlier structure, with a 19th-century shop front and some later alterations. The building is made of rendered stone rubble and has a hipped asbestos slate roof, with a front lateral stack to the right made of slatestone rubble and a brick shaft.
The layout consists of a three-room plan, with one room on the left, a passage, and two rooms on the right, which have been converted into the shop. The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical four-window arrangement. On the ground floor, there are two large eight-pane shop windows flanking a central half-glazed door, all beneath a single cornice. To the right, there is a two-light eight-pane casement window with L hinges from the 18th century. The first floor features alternating three and two-light casements, all with eight panes per light and L hinges. The left side of the building is blind. The interior has not been inspected.
