Description
Ty Winch is a house with origins in the 17th century, featuring later alterations, particularly from the 20th century. It is constructed of slatestone rubble and has a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends, although the stacks have been removed. The right gable end is slate-hung. The building has a two-room plan with a central entrance, and each room was originally heated by a rear lateral stack. The ground floor has stud partition walls.
The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical arrangement of four windows. All the windows are late 18th century casements, each with two panes, L hinges, and timber lintels. The ground floor includes two three-light casements on the left and one to the right, along with a 20th-century door. The first floor features four three-light casements and has four 20th-century gabled dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
