Description

Trethillick Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around the mid-19th century. It is constructed of slate stone rubble and features slate hung with rag slates on the front elevation. The roof is made of rag slate, has gable ends, and includes brick end stacks. The building has a double depth plan, with the entrance located slightly to the right of the center. To the left of the entrance is a larger hall kitchen, while a smaller parlour is situated to the right, both of which are heated by end stacks. At the rear, there is a dairy and back kitchen, with a staircase located at the back of the passage. There is a circa 19th-century outshut extension on the right gable end and a small 20th-century extension at the rear of the stair on the rear elevation. The farmhouse is two storeys tall and has a regular three-window front. The entrance, which is slightly to the right of center, features a 20th-century porch. To the left, there is a wider mid-19th-century 20-pane hornless sash window, and to the right, a 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash window. On the first floor, there are three 19th-century 16-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
