Description
The Old Vicarage is a house, built around 1830 to 1840, and later divided into holiday flats. It is constructed from stuccoed, rendered, and painted stone rubble, with a slate roof and brick end stacks. The design is a double-depth plan, with the main entrance centrally positioned on the north front. The principal rooms are arranged along the north front, flanking the entrance, and extending eastwards to overlook the garden. Service rooms are located to the rear right.
The north front is symmetrical, featuring three windows and incised corner pilaster strips, moulded strings, and deep overhanging eaves. A 19th-century door frame and fanlight are flanked by 19th-century 12-pane sash windows. The first floor has a blind window on the left, with a 19th-century 12-pane sash window in the centre and to the right. The east garden front has a central, blind entrance. Beside it is a 19th-century window frame surrounding a window, above which are two 3-over-6 pane sash windows with a central blind window. The interior has not been inspected.
