PADSTOW SW 87 SE 3/5 Trelowsa Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse. Circa 1820s. Stone rubble. Slate hung with rag slates on front elevation. Asbestos slate and slate roofs continued over integral outshut to rear. Rendered brick end stacks. Plan: Double depth plan with entrance to left of centre. 2 principal rooms to front, probably with parlour on left and larger hall kitchen on right heated by end stacks. Dairy to rear left, back kitchen to rear right and dog-leg stair to rear of the passage. Further extended in C19 and C20 with service outshuts on right hand end and to rear right. Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 3-window slate hung front with complete early C19 16- pane hornless sashes. C20 glazed porch slightly to left of centre, flanked by 2 sashes and 3 similar sashes above. Lean-to service outshut on right hand gable end. Interior: Complete partitions with C19 carpentry and joinery details and early C19 simple dog-leg stair with stick balusters.
