Description
The north churchyard walls and entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St Merryn date from around the 19th century. The walls are constructed from stone rubble and surround the north side of the churchyard. The entrance features a pair of square-plan gate piers made of stone rubble, which support a 19th-century wrought-iron gate with an overthrow. Directly in front of the entrance are two carved Catacleuse corbels from the 15th century, each depicting an angel holding a shield. A third similar corbel is located in the churchyard to the southwest of the church.
