Description
The Chapel of St Merryn is a Wesleyan Methodist chapel built in 1905, as indicated by the datestone. The building is rendered with granite dressings and features asbestos slates on the left side, topped with a slate roof that has gable ends. The chapel has a rectangular plan with an entrance through an original porch located at the front gable end. There is a small meeting room or vestry in the transept on the left.
This single-storey chapel showcases an Arts and Crafts style, characterized by its front gable end. The porch is set forward and features a segmental arched opening, dressed with granite and double doors. Above the porch, there is a 5-light segmental arched window with the datestone in the gable end, and there are 2-light windows on both the left and right sides.
The interior is not accessible, but it may contain original fittings and furnishings that reflect the Arts and Crafts style.
