Description
This building is a farmhouse, now a private house, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a rag slate roof with half hipped ends that extend over a rear outshut. The house has end stacks with brick shafts. The plan consists of a double depth layout with the entrance located to the left of the center. There is likely a larger hall kitchen to the right and a parlour to the left, both heated by the end stacks. Service rooms are situated at the rear, probably within the integral rear outshut.
The exterior is two storeys high and presents an asymmetrical three-window front. There is a 20th-century door to the left of the center, a 19th-century four-over-eight pane sash window to the left, and a 19th-century twelve-pane hornless sash window to the right. On the first floor, there are three late 19th-century or 20th-century four-pane sash windows. A lean-to outshut is located at the right-hand end. The interior has not been inspected.
