ST MERRYN TOWAN SW 87 SE 3/274 House directly to south of Towan Cottage

Farmhouse, now private house. Circa early C18. Stone rubble. Rag slate roof with half hipped ends continued over outshut to rear. End stacks with brick shafts. Plan: Double depth plan with entrance to left of centre. Probably larger hall kitchen to right and parlour to left, heated by end stacks. Service rooms accommodated to rear in probably integral rear outshut. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window front with C20 door to left of centre. C19 4 over 8 pane sash to left and C19 12-pane hornless sash to right. Three late C19 or C20 4-pane sashes on first floor. Lean-to outshut on right hand end. Interior: Not inspected.
