Description
Tregolds Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features slate hung with rag slates on the front. The slate roof has a gable end on the right and a hipped end on the left, returning to the rear with a hipped end on the left and a gable end on the right. There are end stacks and a rear lateral stack with brick shafts. The original arrangement of the plan is uncertain, but the house has a double depth plan with a central entrance. It includes two principal rooms at the front heated by end stacks, a stair to the rear of the central passage, a dairy and pantry to the rear left, and a kitchen to the rear right, heated by the rear lateral stack. The ground rises to the rear. The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front. It has two 19th-century hornless 16-pane sash windows flanking a 20th-century door, and three 4 over 8-pane 19th-century hornless sash windows on the first floor. The interior features complete 19th-century joinery and carpentry details.
