St Merryn School

St Merryn School is a board school and school house built around 1876, designed by Silvanus Trevail. The building is constructed of stone rubble with brick dressings and features steeply pitched slate roofs with gable ends. The school house is located on the right (east) side, with an entrance near the center of the south range, and the school to the left (west).

The layout includes two large school rooms in the school and an overall 'L' shaped plan for the school house, which has a shallow wing projecting to the front left. The exterior consists of a single-storey school and a two-storey school house, both with roofs of similar height. The entrance features a gabled porch with a shouldered arch. The gable end of the school on the left has a 19th-century triple lancet window with a narrow slit above it. The school house on the right has a two-storey gabled bay with double 19th-century four-bay sash windows and a ventilation slit in the attic, along with a 19th-century four-pane sash window on the first floor to the right. The interiors have not been inspected.
