ALTARNUN TREWEEN SX 28 SW 4/116 House 60 metres to north west of - Treween Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse now private house. Probably early C18. Rendered and painted stone rubble and cob. Rag slate roof with gable ends. Stone rubble end stacks, the left hand stack projecting. Plan: Two room and cross or through passage plan heated by end stacks with probably larger hall kitchen on left and parlour on right. Further service rooms added across rear and on front left. Exterior: Two storeys. Asymmetrical two-window front with sash windows partly replaced in C20. C20 gabled porch to right of centre with 16-pane sash to right and two 4 over 8 pane sashes to left. Two 16-pane sashes on first floor. C19 service outshut added to front left, extended along left hand side with rag slate roof. Interior: Roughly cut lintels to open fireplaces.
