Description

A row of six cottages dating from the 1820s to the mid-19th century, situated to the west of Tretor Farm. The cottages are constructed from stone rubble with slate roofs, featuring gable ends and brick axial and end stacks. The front elevation shows several straight joints, indicating that they were built in at least two stages. The two cottages to the left appear to have a double-depth plan with two rooms and entrances to the left, likely leading to a rear staircase. The remaining four cottages to the right have a double-depth plan, with two principal rooms to the front and a central entrance. The front has a regular facade of ten windows. The three cottages to the left have two-centred arched window openings on the first floor. Brick segmental arches are found on the remaining window and door openings. The three cottages to the left have four C19 two-light casement windows alternating with three C20 doors on the ground floor, and four pointed arched openings above with intersecting glazing bars to the C19 sashes. The three cottages to the right each have a central entrance flanked by two-light casement windows with glazing bars, with similar casements above. The interior was not inspected.
