Description

This milestone, located 130 metres to the west of Homeleigh, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of painted granite and has a rectangular shape with a rounded top. The milestone features incised black painted letters that read 'L 1'. It is associated with the Turnpike road act for roads leading into Launceston, which was passed in 1760.
