Description
Ridgegrove Mills Granary is a probable granary built over a wagon shed and stable, dating from the early 19th century. The structure is made of painted rubble and features segmental brick arches, with slate hanging on the ends and rag slate roofs. The main roof has a half hip on the right side. The building has a rectangular plan with a later 19th-century extension on the left and in front. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The windows are small paned fixed lights, and there is a central loading doorway above a window. To the left, there is a wide doorway, and to the right, a narrow doorway. A hipped lean-to on the left projects forward of the granary and includes a wide doorway with ledged doors. The rear of the building also has a three-window range, featuring tall windows and a central loading or winnowing doorway on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
