Description
Ridgegrove Mills is an early 19th-century water mill located on Ridgegrove Lane, Launceston. The building is constructed of painted rubble with slate hanging to the front gable, and has rag slate roofs. It has a rectangular plan, with a later outbuilding at the rear. The two-story structure includes an attic and features a single-window range to the front gable. The gable has a small hoist or ventilator opening above a 9-pane casement window, a 6-pane casement window to the first floor, and a 6-pane casement window to the ground floor. A 2-light shuttered opening is located low down on the left side, and a ledged door is on the right. There is an undershot water wheel on the left-hand side, and a single-window range on the right-hand side. The interior has not been inspected, but may contain original machinery.
