Description

No. 4 The Walk is a mid-19th century cottage ornee, featuring rubble walls with some slate hanging and dry slate hipped roofs that have shaped wooden fascia and barge boards. The building has an irregular arrangement of brick stacks and cast-iron ogee gutters. It is designed in a Gothic style and stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical two-window entrance front. The windows are 4-centred arched, consisting of two lights with leaded glass and Y-traceried heads. Above the first-floor windows, there are gables over the ground floor window shutters. The central doorway is arched and contains a six-panel door. The right-hand garden front has original diamond leaded lights and a stair projection with a tall window. The interior has not been inspected.
