Description

Milestone located 200 metres to the south-west of South Lodge in Werrington Park. It is probably from the early 19th century and is made of granite. The milestone has a rectangular shape with a rounded top and is inscribed with 'L 1'. This milestone relates to the Turnpike Road Act for roads leading into Launceston, which was passed in 1760.
