Description
South Lodge is a lodge built in the early 19th century. It is rendered, likely from stone rubble, and features a slate roof with both hipped and gable ends. The building has rendered octagonal pots on the axial and end shafts.
The lodge is a single storey structure with a symmetrical front that has two windows. It includes a central porch with a four-centred chamfered arch and a panelled 19th-century door. There are pointed four-centred headed windows on the side walls of the porch. On either side of the porch, there are two mullion and transom windows with diagonal leaded lights and hood moulds. Similar windows can be found in the side walls, each topped with small gables. The interior has not been inspected.
