Description
No. 11 North Street is a village house that likely served as a coach house, dating from the 17th century. It features rendered rubble walls and a steep rag slate roof, with rubble end stacks and a brick-heightened stack on the right. The building has a single-depth plan and stands two storeys tall, presenting an irregular three-window range. On the first floor, there is a mid-19th century two-light casement window, while the ground floor has a similar three-light casement on the left and an early to mid-19th century hornless sash window with glazing bars on the right. A late 19th century gabled porch is located under the second window, complete with glazed sidelights. The entrance consists of an early 19th century six-panel door, featuring two top panels that have been later glazed, alongside a wide coach house doorway at the far left fitted with ledged doors. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
